About the FSN's logo

The FENG SHUI network's logo and website were updated in 2003 to reflect the changing face of the network in alignment with the changing of traditional Xuan Kong Fei Xing Feng Shui from Period 7 to Period 8 in February 2004.

The FSN's 'star' logo was redesigned with colourful bubbles connecting the lines in the true spirit of the network - connecting people worldwide.

For the project, the FSN employed the services of graphic designer Kuan Chan from MCV3, Mammoliti Chan Design:

"A logo is a visual symbolic representation of an organisation or person and
must communicate to the wider audience on who they are or what they do.  The
design of the logo must convey the message effectively and at the same time
be visually balanced and attractive.

To represent Feng Shui and the Network, we used elements that are actually part
of the Feng Shui Masterıs everyday toolbox.

The Compass can be seen as four dominant points along with midway points on
the periphery representing dominant external influences.  They are not linked
by a circle, they stand apart as major points of influence.

Colours, another major influence, are red (Fire), green (wood), black
(water), grey (metal) and yellow (earth).

The small circles connected by a web of influences further connect to create
a complex web that becomes a star.  All points contribute to this star and
the networkıs true democracy is exemplified by there being no central (i.e.
dominant) body.  Just like the world in perfect balance, there is acknowledgement of influence from all directions.

Finally the ancient Lou Pan is the ground element of the logo from which
the network is born."

The photo was taken in Thailand, with mountains to the rear and a lotus pond to the front.  Feng Shui is reflected in this harmonious scene.

The mountain is a Zuo Fu mountain, in alignment with the energies of Period 8.

As we moved from Period 7 to Period 8, the front page of the FSN's website also changed:

This shows the transition from Period 7, a metal Period, to Period 8, an earth Period.   Notice also the Trigrams, top left and bottom right.  The Top left is the Dui Trigram, for Period 7; the bottom right is the Gen Trigram, for Period 8.

Closer to 2004, we got:

The gold is disappearing and the Trigrams are on equal levels.

After February 2004 the front page reflects the energies of Period 8 in totality.

Watermarks and banners on the new website pages are representative of the five elements: fire, earth, metal, water and wood.  This page, for instance, is water, one of the two words that mean 'Feng Shui.'

The FSN wishes to acknowledge the expertise of Peter Taurins, for initially putting together the more complex aspects of this website.  Visit http://www.caughtatwork.net
