Four Pillars of Destiny

Most of us know our Chinese animal sign for our year of birth, but did you know that we each have four animals?  One for the hour, one for the day, one for the month and one for the year of our birth.  Each animal contains special characters called 10 Heavenly Stems which indicate the hidden element/s of the animal (fire, earth, metal, water or wood).

The 12 animals (called 12 Earthly Branches) are a type of formula we use in destiny analysis.  The characters of the 12 animals are not solely based on the personality of the animal (eg the monkey is cheeky, the dog is loyal, etc.) although there are similarities.

Known as Ba Zi (literally 'Eight Characters'), the Four Pillars of Destiny assesses a person’s fortune, career, relationship status, lucky periods and more.

Annual Updates

Every year around the 4th of February, new influences come into play in our lives.  For instance, if you are born in the year of the Pig, and the year of the Snake comes around, then you are in a clash, which may or may not mean good fortune for you this year.  Through an annual analysis we can see what the year holds in store for you.

Also, you may have a mole in a particular spot on your face, pertaining to a particular time of your life, for instance.  If this is the case, then the mole will indicate a restriction in a certain area of life for the year.

An Annual Update is a way to check, especially if you have important plans, on what lies ahead.
